Go put your hands on the LCP II if you haven't yet... well worth the money.

Better feel in your hands, better sights, and the trigger seems like a light years difference.

Definitely get the LCP ll. Much, much better. Carry mine in my right front pocket everyday and have shot 250 rounds through it with no problems. I shoot steel Monarch at the range.

I used to carry a Kahr IWB. I found myself always feeling the need to untuck my shirt to keep it from being obvious. Also, I carried it at the 4:00 position, and seemingly every time someone hugged me they got a handful of pistol.

Now, I carry an LCP Custom every day (had a 1st Gen. LCP for awhile, but the sights were miniscule.) Slips nicely into my front pocket in a Desantis holster. Can tuck my shirt in with no bulge. Good sights, good trigger, and accurate for what it is. Folks rib the 380 carriers for not having enough gun, but I have yet to see any of the haters volunteer to suck up 95 grains to prove their point. I would rather have a 380 on me than nothing because I didn't want a bulge.

My wife carries an LCP with CT laser... She is DEADLY with it!

          1) LCP was the best selling pistol in America for several years.

          2) Some LTC courses wont allow pistols to be holstered in purse or pocket during live fire and range testing...a true holster is apparently more safe for range purposes.

          3) 380 doesnt come in rat/snake shot...why I carry 9mm DB9 in the pocket. However Im limited to 115gr.

          4) might consider her testing with a heavier semiauto pistol with longer barrel for better accuracy and better scoring. Dont need to test with actual carry pistol.

          5) LCR and S&W Airweight are awesome! Light but larger profile if pocketed. 38special rat shot and hollow alternated for my wife. Best for purse. Point and shoot is good for a non regular ranging female IMHO. Rat shot a bad guy and he will hurt everywhere and less likely miss...follow on hollow point will perforate bad guy thoroughly.

            I agree with this 100%.

I really think that a carry gun needs to be shot often, just for dependability sake. Why drag around a pistol if it does not run properly. I will not carry the little LCP any longer as I have no faith in it.

Revolvers will always be my first choice, but like you say they are heavier and larger.

For a pocket pistol, I like the regular LCP over the LCP II or Custom. I prefer smaller sights to not snag and a stiff trigger to not go back if it inadvertently gets touch by something in my pocket. Mine is always in a DeSantis in my pocket, after I make sure nothing else is in that pocket, but still. It's a last ditch effort pocket weapon, not a range gun.
