Ruger rpr vs howa hrc vs savage model 10 6.5

Looking for a out of the box 6.5 precision rifle today I almost bought the ruger I found it for 1220 out the door but I really know nothing about them so i came home and started research and came across the savage and howa seems to be their competitors but a little cheaper so out of the 3 which one and why ?! Heres what I'm wanting to do add a scope around the 800-1k$ range and start slowly shooting longer distances as I get better so out of the box as a beginner which one is better

I have had extremely great accuracy out of the 3 Savages I have bought in the last 5 years. Model 12, Model 10FCP, and a cheap Model 11. All have the Accu-trigger, and the Model 10 has the aluminum bedding block as well. All have shot less than 1" out of the box. You may have to go through a few different quality ammos to find what they like. If you are going to hand load I would work up a load that works best.

These are not your grandpas Savages!

I have also had 1 Howa and 1 Weatherby Vanguard with the bull barrell. They are made in the same plants, on the same mills. They shoot lights out. I had the Weatherby glass and pillar bedded, and it was great. Only reason I got rid of it was to do a custom build. They both are awesome shooters and believe both have models that guarantee SUB-MOA out of the box.

GunBroker prices currently bergara BMP can be had for 1279. And a HMR 835-900. More affordable than you think. After using both bergara and the ruger bergara no comparison.

I have shot my buddies RPR in 6.5 quite a bit, and seen him shoot it alot. The factory Hornady match loads are insanely accurate. In HIS particular rifle, they are with my handloads all day long. He has Vortex PST 6-24x50mm ($900) and you can shoot a ragged hole at 100 yards all day. I can't speak for the Savage or Howa, but you can pretty much guarantee yourself an extremely competitive long range rig with the RPR and the Vortex in your budget.

You're not going to go wrong with any of them but, like snipermedic said, I would definitely throw the Bergara in your list. If it were me, I'd drop the Howa and the Savage and get the RPR, or the BMP. I'm a big Savage fan and I'm sure their new chassis rifle is accurate but they absolutely cheesed-out by throwing a cheap AR stock on a precision rifle. If you have the budget to put a better and more adjustable stock on it, throw the Savage back in. If they'd have put a quality stock on it, the Savage would have been high on my list.

                  I have a Howa,HCR 6.5. haven't put a lot of time on it but it's a sweet shooter.
                  So far factory Hornady ammo.

How's the stock feel where you shoulder it ? That's the only bad part I've read so far is that it has some play in it

Why do you want/need a chassis rifle? To be honest im not sure I'm sold on mine. I really like the feel of HMR and the M40 style stocks.

There is play there but once you adjust it for your shoulder it has a set screw to tighten up all the play. Works well.
