    Trouble zeroing 300blk

So i built a 300blk out upper to switch out on my m&p15 and not having good groupings out to 100yrds. I switched scope from my big gun to this rifle and cant seem to dial it in. Dead on when had it on my 700 but idk if its the scope or rifle. Any ideas would help me out.

What twist? What bullet? Describe the groupings. Try shooting at 25 yards.

are you positive the scope is bolted down tight to the rail? that could throw you off a good bit

Is your hand guard attached to the barrel and is your hold pressure changing shot to shot? My groups stunk until I installed a free float hand guard. My AR's also are picky about bullet weight and hate the steel case ammo. Could hit more throwing rocks.

That happened to me. I went home furious and I went to put it back in the safe. Grabbed it by the scope and was wiggling everywhere.

Yep! I thought I had mine tightened down on my SPS because I cranked on the wrench pretty good - when I followed it up with a an actual torque wrench at the correct poundage, I was surprised how hard you really need to tighten those screws. As a result, I was dead on the next day - you never know but sometimes it's the stuff that seems simple and there's more to it in my case.

I had a v match bushmaster years ago that came from the factory with a loose barrel nut...

Free float, 1:8 twist, off shelf remington umc & magtech 123 fmj
first time sighting loose mounts fixed that. Shooting off mounted bipod and bags.
