Probably the most popular PCP air gun on this side of the pond (most high end guns are made in Europe) that is totally customizable and most modified is the Benjamin Marauder in either .22 or .25 caliber. You can get a brand new one and some decent glass along with a 3 stage hand pump and be set up and shooting for under $1,000... possible way under a thousand if you buy a used one...

Send me a PM with your email addy and I'll send you an information sheet with links, and suggestions on where to go to learn about them, buy them, and begin the VERY addicting process of shooting, modifying and customizing them.

Just as I have posted on here about these guns many times, I WARN YOU RIGHT NOW, THEY WILL BE THE MOST FUN, ADDICTING AND TIME CONSUMING THING YOU'VE EVER DONE!!! They are WAY more fun than AR's mainly because you can do it in your back yard and no one will even know it!

For me personally I won't stop load development until I get the rifle to shoot under 1 MOA, preferably 3/4 - 1/2 MOA depending on application. I don't have anything in an AR platform so this is the standard for all of my bolt guns. So far I don't have anything in my safe that wont stay under 1 MOA with a few of them holding 1/2-3/4 MOA.

      Just curious!
Shooting from a bench, in a ledsled, with factory loads, I expect 1/2 MOA. From a bipod, less than 1MOA for a long range big game gun. Shooting in the field, with no rest, or a poor rest, 1 MOA.

For something like a 30-30, 1.5 to 2 MOA is sufficient.

It differs by caliber and rifle for me.

        My ar-15 I want .5 at 100
        My savage 223 I want 1 at 200
        My .06 I want 1 at 100
My boys cricket I want cloverleaf at 50

        All off the bench

When I used to shoot prairie dogs I used a Savage Predator in 22-250 that will group in a ragged hole at 100. Deer rifles I can live with 1.5" groups at 100 yards.

I agree, but I want to know that IF I miss, or make a bad shot that it was MY fault and not an accuracy issue that might be magnified at longer ranges.

3 shots at 100 yards 1/2" or less. Anything short of that doesn't stay in the safe long. Even my 6.8 spc will shoot that. I hand load for ever rifle I have though. Hand guns get factory ammo for me.

5 shots in .400 or they get the axe, this is with hand loads.
