    Barrel length for .300blk SBR

After much searching, I have decided to get another Faxon barrel given the tremendous accuracy I have in my .556 using their barrel.

They offer a 7.5" and 10.5" both on sale right now. My Aero upper uses a 9" M-lok rail so using the 7.5" barrel will tuck the QD mount brake just barely. My concern is if I want to shoot without the suppressor, is the blast out of that brake going to damage my hand guard?

Don't shoot it without the suppressor!

To me it's dangerous having a barrel shorter than the handguard. Blow your dang hand off.

10.5" for 556 and 8.5" for 300blk is low as I go. Add a supprsssor to them please.

Also keep in mind that the outside diameter of the suppressor must be smaller than the inside diameter of the handguard. Otherwise it won't tuck at all and you wouldn't be able to shoot the gun safely at all. I run 8.5" with a 7" rail. It's not my preferred way but tucking a suppressor inside a handguard can cause issues with heat on your hand and it limits you to only being able to shoot suppressed. I'd go with 10.5 if you don't want to get a new rail

Well those pics were all unneeded. Thanks 35 and all responders. I'm getting the 10.5.

Curious about the thinking for a match barrel on a 300 BLK - I love the round but as a 50 yard thumper... for me even 2 MOA is more than enough.

Those pictures show that the owner isn't all that smart having the muzzle brake partially under the hand guard. What do you expect when high pressure gases are hitting thin aluminum?
