    Alexander arms barrel issues

Ordered a 6.5 grendel barrel and just got to building and shooting the gun. Found out with factory Hornady 6.5 Grendel ammo if manually ejecting un fired rounds it will pull the bullet from the case and stick in barrel. Also it closes on a no go gauge.

Called customer service they asked me to ship it back on my dime as they usually don't pay shipping to them Warranty work I guess. Also lead time was a guess of 2-3 weeks.

Anyone have any issues with them? I'm kinda annoyed or is that normal to make customers pay to ship back bad barrels?

I bought a complete upper and it works perfectly. All I can think of ,since it closes on a no go gage is your col is too long.

It's Hornady factory ammo. And I'm thinking the no go gauge is headspace issue

You are right about the gage. Barrel must be throated wrong. As far as shipping charges, a lot of companies charge for it. Including costa sun glasses.

Man I would think if it was my fault I would do everything I could to help the customer make it right. Paying to get something fixed that shouldn't need fixing from the factory is annoying

I was just reading a thread about there being issues with their barrels. The AA arms fans were rabidly defending them. I've heard enough bad about them to not deal with them.

I had one a few years ago I wish I had back. I have a longer and much more expensive barrel that really doesn't shoot any better.
