Bedside Safe Keys

Outside my daily carry, I keep another handgun in a bedside safe. I've had this safe in location for at least 4 years. I open it with the keys and have never bothered to install batteries and create a code. Tuesday evening I came in and swapped guns. Then without thinking I tossed the keys in the safe and closed the door - and yes, both keys were on the same ring. Instant realization!!

Thankfully, it has a jumpstart feature. After some research on this, I was able to utilize this and open my safe. My keys were laying just inside. The first thing I did was separate my keys into two different locations.

oh that would have sucked if the safe didn't have that feature. I did something similar only with our house keys. we bought my wife a new car so we removed all the keys from her mustang key ring to put on her new key ring. decided to drive the mustang and realized when we got home we didn't have a key!
