    Couple of interesting Firearms...

    One of the things I enjoy most about being an FFL & doing consignments is running across new guns I am not familiar with & seeing where these bring in a lot of interest in some cases.

    These two belong to a local dealer who has a long standing brick & mortar biz, but sends me his personal and rare trades that he knows will do better on the WWW & not sitting in his shop waiting for the very few who know what it is. He is old school & doesn't want to get into the internet & happy to pay me.

    ~~~~~~~
    First is a Walther P38k that just sold for $2,025.00...new to me but was astounded with the amount of folks who had it on their watch list & final price.
    2nd was a different animal for me as well...I'm not really a Browning A-Bolt guy, but this one is obviously special. I only found one other in a 270wsm in the same configuration where they were asking $2200.00. I cancelled the auction because my boss asked me if I could recommend a gun for a fellow sales guy in LA territory that is retiring & they wanted to give him something special. He is a gun / hunting guy & this was in their budget. It had some watchers but since it didn't have a bid, I cancelled & hope they tell me on Monday it's a go. I would rather see Mike get this than get sold on the net.
      That's really cool Artos! That pistol looks legit, did you play around with the action? Was it solid and smooth or a little sloppy like some military guns can be?
        Didn't mess with it too much...I really didn't see a whole lot that made me go wow, other than the final selling price. I'm guessing not many survived staying in mint condition is what the driving factor is?? Maybe not that many of the 2600 were imported??
        It was certainly not like a Wilson 1911
          I've seen that model Browning in person and it's hard for pictures to do it justice. That's saying a lot as I'm not a maple stock guy but it works on this rifle combo.
          Good luck with the sale Paul and thanks for sharing.
