    Load tunning

So how many of yal have dialed in a load that you find works well then changed primers and run it on a chrono?

I havent but would be VERY interested in results...

    My guess is minimal change...

I don't see where primers would change much unless you go from standard to magnum or vice versa. IMO the differences in primers would be more reliability then anything.

If you think that's it's minum change then based on my testing you would be very wrong. I found a 1/2 moa load but had some issue with consistency. So I tested using same load just differnt primers with a magneto speed that was set up and not moved during the test. Your testing might very but numbers don't lie.

I never change primers. I use 1 for my ARs CCI 41, one for small rifle and 1 for large rifle and 1 for large rifle magnum.

That's not too surprising- I've never run a full on primer test like that but I've had plenty of change occur from primer changes. It's a great point to make - primers are not interchangeable and not equal.

I had the same problem with my 204 load...changed primers and it was a tack driver.

On many occasions I have had a sub MOA load go south with only changing primer.
