    Revolver Speed Loaders

I recently acquired a S&W model 10 and have been kicking around the idea of speed loaders. For those who carry a revolver do you carry a speed loader too? Do yo have recommendations on a brand?

    Thanks

Yep, two basic choices - the Safariland or the HKS brands. I prefer the Safariland over the HKS. HKS you need to push the new rounds into the cylinder and then turn the knob to release them. The Safariland just requires you to push the reloads in to the cylinder. For many carriers, the speedloaders are just too bulky, so they carry a speed strip. I tend to carry either depending on what else I'm totin, and where I'm going.

    Regards,

    Dave

I like the speed strips better because I can drop them in my pocket.

Speed strip here also. I carry a 8 round strip. I have a few extra rounds and it's flat in my back pocket.

I usually carry a speed loader in .38/357 five shot guns. Otherwise I carry a speed strip. If it's cold I'll carry a couple of loaded moon clips in a jacket pocket if I'm packing a 10mm, .45 acp, or other revolver cut for the clips.
