M&P Shield problems!!!!!ARGH!!!!!

I just picked up the M&P Shield in 9mm and >45 ACP today from my FFL. Ran home to disassemble and clean them for action on Saturday. The slide to the .45 won't come off and the disassembly rotating lever on the 9mm wont go all the way over due to the pin below it is sticking out too far. I used a punch to fix the 9mm, but my 45 will not come apart. The slide will move about 1/4 inch forward of the rear of the weapon and that's it. I'm P'od to say the least.

Did that. I'm taking it down correctly. With the exception of the sear stop it comes apart the same as my Sig 226.

Mine isn't an easy disassemble for sure. But I don't really believe in cleaning my guns anyway. [emoji5]
