Reloading the .500 S&W - Suggestions for hunting round?

I'm not sure I even want to get into this, but it was on sale , so I purchased a .500 S&W barrel for my Encore pistol. It's a factory 15" barrel, ported.

Looking around, there isn't much in the line of factory ammo on the shelves. I saw a few offerings from HSM at Cabelas this weekend. 350 grain, $37 for 20. That was the cheaper stuff. I saw one box of 20 for $60 (Hornady) and another for $65 (Federal).

Not sure if I really want to start loading for it, but wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions for a hunting round. Probably pigs. Probably don't want to throw that much lead at the deer we have running around here.

Thoughts?

I load 440 gr hardcast. Don't have to push them too hard for it to punch through...anything. You could do a mild load at 1000fps and be in perfect shape
