I need help from a 300 BO reloader

I need someone that would be willing to load a few subsonic rounds for me. Something that is very subsonic. I have a new Ruger American Ranch Rifle with a new Crux Nemesis30 suppressor. I've shot both Remington 220's and Hornady 208's and both are super sonic. Shooting without the can is a very noticeable difference so I assume it's the ammo. I need a load that I know is subsonic so I can eliminate the can from the equation. I will pay you, give you what little brass I have or some factory 300 ammo. I would need it mailed / UPS to me as well if your to far away and I will pay for that. Whatever you want, I will compensate you for your efforts.

Sounds like a load needing AA1680 for some nice quiet loads.

My reloading expertise is limited to putting another round in the chamber!

I am also new to the suppressor game. I have a Sparrow on my 22LR it works great with the ammo that I have. I'm trying to achieve the same results with this 300.

^^This. Accurate 1680 and some 200-220 grain bullets. I hand load for my blackout, but have nothing for subsonic.

Reloading subsonic is best done over a chronograph.

Start supersonic and aim for what your goal is. Mine is 1020-1050 that way it is subsonic down to freezing easily.

How does the can compare with actual supersonic bullets?

It's night and day. Big boom with the can off and sounds like a 22LR with the can on.

I see what you're asking now. I haven't tried supers. But I will now.

Supers will sound like a bull whip going off even with the can.

Did you find anything else out?

I am just getting started in reloading for my 300BO . Wish I could help you out, but I am just getting started . I ordered my can and probably won't get it until November. I hope to do some reloading in the summer when I have more time. I hope to load some 200 gr. subs and develop a good load. I have ordered Makers bullets, (200 gr. Rex bullets). PM me if you don't find anyone or are not in any kind of rush. I live in Victoria, but am originally from Hallettsville, so still go there fairly often.

I shoot the AA1680 with the Hornady 208's at 1020 fps. I may have to adjust the recipe a bit now that I'm here at sea level. Most of my stuff is currently in storage or I would send your a few to try. I will try to check with my son and see if he has any loaded. I shoot them in a Handi rifle and also an AR. The Handi rifle with the can is quieter than my pellet gun. The AR I think the bolt is louder than the shot.

As you probably already know if you shoot anything that moves with those 208's, make sure it is a headshot. No expansion at all. Kind of like shooting them with a target point.

I bought some Sig Sauer 220 subs and they sounded just like the other subs I have.

I also bought some Remington 120 supers. Shooting them with the can on sounds like the subs with the can off.

I sent the can back to Crux yesterday to have it checked out. I'll post up what they find out.

Have you shot them over a chronograph? It sounds like they are supersonic.
