    M&P Shield .45

Got to shoot my shield yesterday. Man this thing is awesome, very accurate & easy to control. Wasn't sure if the barrel porting would make that big of a difference but is does. Really like it.

Sweet gun. I've been itching to buy a new handgun. May have to give it a try.

I am a big fan of the M&P's now. They are running a rebate program right now that makes them crazy cheap to buy as well.

I bought a M&P 2.0 and changed to an Apex trigger. It rivals race guns for a quarter of the price.

I have the Shield 9 and .40, That .45 is next on my list. I did the red accents just like you did on both of mine and love how they look.

I ordered the Shield in 45 and 9mm yesterday. Can't wait to try the 45. The 9mm is for the GF.

You have the Performance Center models or the regular models? The Performance Center 45, I feel is way different than the regular Sheild 45. I showed it to a freind the has the regular 45 & he was amazed at how much better the trigger was, he didn't get to shoot it but now he wants to go shoot it with me.

I just have the regular models for both of mine. I'll have to look into the performance center when I get my .45. That one looks good.

Were you able to compare the 2.0 trigger (which S&W claims is improved) to the "old" trigger?

I carry the Performance Center full size 9mm but have a coworker that doesn't care about the ported barrel for a 9mm and is looking at the 2.0. I was wondering how much difference the trigger improvement is.

I carried an M&P .40 and 9mm full size for duty and both calibers in the compact models. The triggers were good enough but I now carry the 9mm full size Performance Center. I really like the trigger but it still has no trigger reset compared to a Glock .... however.... the reset is so short that I never notice it with I am shoot 3 to 4 rounds a second anyway.

The performance trigger with the trigger stop is a pretty good improvement. A lot of my coworkers love shooting my gun but don't want to pay the price of the full size PC.
