I have a Glock 40 10mm and I put a vortex venom on it. What is the best way to sight it in. I took it to the range today, and I didn't do bad with it, but not comfortable enough to shoot an animal with it yet. Any tips or opinions would help. Thank you

I did 3-5 shot groups from five yards then progressively moved back. If I didn't feel comfortable enough to average the shot group and make adjustments I scrapped that group.
Other than that set up a table close and sand bag to the best of your ability.
Were you comfortable enough with iron sights to shoot an animal?Comment

One of my 10mm's is this exact set-up. The model 40 is a great gun! What I would recommend to you is to get a Ghost Trigger. If you are having issues grouping well, my opinion is get this trigger!!! I had the same issue not grouping the best. But once I had the trigger installed, my groups are awesome at 50 yards!!!! Your set-up is Perfect and very capable of great groups!!! Just get that trigger!!!Comment

What was the issue that made you not comfortable with it?
The Glock 20 long slide I built with a Trijicon RMR is deadly.

Getting mine Thursday. Can't wait to see what it's capable of! Has anyone tried a red dot like a PA Microdot that has a tube, or do those not fit?
