Then our experience had been vastly different. I've never to my knowledge had one fail to expand and I've been shooting them a long time.

They work exceptionally well when driven fast for sure though.

And the Grendel does not drive bullets fast!

In the 2015 I hit a square in the lungs doe and had her run 50 yards and bed up in a place I could see her but not get another shot. No expansion and took over an hour for her to put her head down.

I shoot the hornady 123 gr SST every deer I have shot went straight down. But two were head shots. My grendel gets grabbed everytime I go out now.
