Padded war belt and holster recommendations

I'm looking at a padded war belt to attach a holster to and a few mags. Mainly for range play/ranch stuff.

Anybody use this kind of belt or have recs?

Yeah I have used one on deployment and two schools. Being in the Infantry I have very high standards for stuff I wear for miles at a time. The best one I have worn was from tactical tailor. It has the best blend of small enough to bend over and stuff without being in the way and also the webbing is a very high quality. Another recommendation is the one I wore when I was in the Marine Corps as an infantryman and that is the High Speed Gear-slim grip padded belt. It has a great feel and rides just right even when you're running. Now for a holster I am very fond of safariland and am very loyal to that company due to their high quality of holster. I like a direct hip holster, drop legs are useless unless you're jumping out of airplanes, in my opinion. The direct hip draw is a superior draw and doesn't tangle and shake when you run, or walk through vegetation. Also the drop leg will leave you chaffed and will look cool and that's about it. For hunting and range time I would recommend either one of these belts and a high ride hip holster for your pistol.

Thanks for the info, I will give those a look. I agree with the drop leg, I've never liked using one.

For the use you are talking Condor gear will suite you just fine. I've got their belt that I added an H harness to. I use it for run and gun events. I've got close to 100 miles on it with no issues. It's rigged to carry 5 AR and 5 pistol mags, a small med kit and a Bravo concealment kydex holster. Standard belt loops on the holster, just grab extra molle loops to keep everything tight.

Crye Persision makes a few different battle belts. I have a high back blast belt that I like a lot. Good quality product.

                Nice! Thanks for the replies.

Some buddies of mine that I used to serve with, we get together several times a year and live in the past. We get together and ruck and shoot guns.

I've always just toyed with issued junk and am venturing out to some more customizable stuff.

We are planning on rucking a few miles out to a make shift range, shoot and ruck back. It's kind of our bonding thing that we still do.

For that situation, I've got a Badlands 2200. There's webbing on the belt that's hidden by the outside pouches. I did 16 miles with 42#s of gear and it was incredibly comfortable. I was able to put 2 kangaroo mag pouches (rifle with pistol on outside) on the left side plus a multi tool, and the same Bravo concealment holster on the right. Had to get creative with paracord since it's not molle. The weight distribution ability is amazing.

I got away from it because I couldn't shoot prone with it on. It rode so hi I couldn't get my head back far enough.

I've got a condor and I'm ready to replace it. It tends to roll around on the padding. But for the half dozen times a year I actually use it, it works. I made my own holster and pistol mag pouches.

Do you have a velcro sided belt in it? Mine doesn't roll at all. I'm running an ATS Tactical inner. Also my Condor has 3 rows of molle instead of 2. Maybe they changed up the design.

Two rows of webbing and the padding is about an inch and a half thick. My belt does velcro in. It is probably on the low end even for condor.
