    Another "which scope" thread

So... I'm shopping glass for my RAP. I have it pretty much narrowed down to:

    The vortex viper HS-LR (4-16x50)

SWFA is an optics manufacturing specializing in rifle scopes built for tactical, hunting, and long range shooting known for quality and precision optics.

    or

    The leupold vx-3i (4.5-14x40)

SWFA is an optics manufacturing specializing in rifle scopes built for tactical, hunting, and long range shooting known for quality and precision optics.

Which one has better glass? And which one will be a better all around scope? I like the higher magnification and bigger objective on the vortex. But I might like the smaller objective of the leupold for my set up. Also the CDS seems pretty awesome. I really like that both scopes have capped windage turrets, since it's a hunting rifle first. And both reticles have windage marks if I need them. For some reason I'm leaning toward the leupold, but wondering if the larger objective lense on the vortex will make it better in low light situations. Someone with some experience behind these scopes please help me out.

Nice. But I really want the side focus and the wind plex reticle. That sure is tempting though.

Ahhh, didn't catch that in the original link. My bad.

I have shot both side by side and the leupold with smaller lens will still be better in low light

This was my biggest question. I already knew I wanted the CDS dial system. I just can't compare both side by side so was looking for someone with first hand experiences. Thanks.
