Anyone own one? Like it? How does it compare to a 300WSM? I cannot find much ballistics info on it on the internet. I've see where Hornady offers some factory rounds that allegedly out preform a 300 win mag in a 20" barrel?

Tell me what you know. Considering this cartridge for my trip to Africa.

Can't help much. It's one of Hornady and Rugers collaborations that just didn't take hold. It's pretty much went the way of the 30 TC.

Here's some 300 WSM to compare. I don't know what test length barrels were used but 300 RCM is running about 80 fps slower in standard non Superformance loads with 180's.
