Anyone have a Stinger supremacy AR handguard?

Anyone have one or any experience with one? I'm deciding on which free float I want for my Aero AR, and came across stinger. Made in TX, half the cost of others but reviews aren't plentiful, but they are all really good. I tend to like to see a few bad reviews, kinda gives perspective but I can't find any bad on stinger. I'm looking at the stinger vanquish, an Aero or Midwest industries free float.

I've never seen or held one. But I'm building an AR this year and just from their website, they'll be getting my business. Definitely worth trying IMO. Made in TX, family owned, and free shipping. Yes please. Also all the specs seem to be exactly what I'm lookin for.

Here's the only YouTube video I could find. Can actually get an idea of size, etc.

Sweet. Yeah I was thinking the same things. I don't see why it would be any different than a top tier hand guard.

I will say that while I love Texas, the Vanquisher handguards in question seem to take a lot of styling from Midwest Industries.

I have a Midwest Industries handguard, and I can see a one key difference between the two right off the back.

The Midwest rails come with a "torque plate" which is a patented feature from them. This interfaces with the bottom of your upper and eliminates any chance of your handguard twisting any considerable amount. The Vanquisher only grips on to your barrel nut, so in theory, you might be able to knock it out of alignment easier. Whether this is actually happen in the real world I have no idea. It's also good to note that the older Midwest Industries handguards did not have a torque plate, and people still liked them.

I can buy 2 from Stinger and still spend less than 1 from Midwest. So it's worth a try for me. I'm spreading this build throughout the year. So I'm not buying it just yet. But when I do, I'll try to respond back on here and give a review.

Other than that is there any reason to believe that a stinger hand guard would be worse than a Midwest? I just don't see how they could "perform" any differently, but I am still an AR rookie.

Did you ever get one of these? I need a new handguard for my 9MM that I can tuck my can under.

Not yet. I plan too though. Put the AR on the back burner for now, wanted to upgrade some stuff on my bow first.

Well I decided that I'll be the guinea pig. I ordered the 12" Vanquisher handguard this morning. Couldn't justify spending $150-$200 on a handguard at the moment. This one was $75 shipped after their $5 off coupon. I'll update when it get delivered and I'm able to get the upper assembled. My first AR build so we'll see how it goes.

Are they made in TX because the website says "based in Texas"? At the price they are selling them I wouldn't be surprised if they were outsourced.

I wasn't able to find anything that said they were made in Texas, just Texas based. If there is something that comes in when it ships, I'll be sure to let everybody know. The FAQ on the site said that they were setting up a new facility to begin manufacturing M-LOK rails but gave no specifics.
