ISO an AR10 but have questions...

An AR10 is on my list of guns to acquire but I have a few questions first. Do they kick as bad as a Springfield SOCOM? Do they shoot both the .308 and NATO 7.62x51 rounds? I was looking at an Aero Precision model in the classifieds but may steer away if it's not right for me.

Love my S&W MP AR10. A little heavy to carry but very deadly and a blast to shoot.

I'll let you know this coming week me compared to a socom. But I don't like them for my night vision usage. The recoil to too much to stay in the scope for follow ups vs 5.56

308 barrel will shoot both 308 and 7.62, a 7.62 barrel only shoots 7.62 (though technically you can fire 308 in it, it's not advisable). Think of it as the opposite of 5.56/.223.

I had a SOCOM & now have a DPMS GII RECON. I don't think either kick very bad but I'd say the AR is slightly less. Both kicked less than my 20" .308 bolt gun. I like my RECON.
