    pre 94 A-BOLT

I'm looking for a Browning A-bolt action, the best I can tell it is referred to as a pre 94 or A BOLT 1.. I am doing a rebuild.-Thanks

you're gonna have to buy a complete gun and then use the action as a donor

does your gunsmith work on Browning actions and have all the necessary tooling to true the action ?

Many GS's won't mess with A-bolts because of the action shape, recoil lug, and metric threads . Additionally, extremely limited choice in aftermarket stocks and triggers

I have a GS that will assemble everything, I have purchased the parts I was missing directly from Browning. Just need the bolt, but willing to purchase entire rifle.

I don't think it is anything special, I think its when the A bolt originated, or at least the original design until 94 then the A bolt 2 came out, the current design is A bolt 3

                      the original A-bolt I was introduced in 1984, then came the A-bolt II, x-bolt, A-bolt3 , etc...

I received an original A-bolt as a graduation gift, it has always been ****ed accurate with lite bullets but suffers from a terribly slow twist rate. I would like to re-barrel it but that's not as easy as a Rem 700.

I have an original A Bolt Stainless stalker in .270. One of the most accurate guns I have. Unfortunately it has too much sentimental value to sell. Good luck on your search.
