    ,222 Remmy

My BIL passed away a couple of years back and now my SIL is cleaning out his safe. One of the irons is a Remington BDL Classic in .222 Rem. I sent the serial # to Remington and it came back as a March 1993 manufacture date. She is depending on me to do my best for her. 24" barrel and in excellent condition. Any idea on the value? Thanks!

What is the condition of the gun...this will really dictate everything.

You are looking at $600 (used with wear) -$1200 (if it is new in box with all the paperwork)

It could be a Remington 700 Classic, they made one caliber every year. 1993 was the year for the 222. If its in good condition worth about $1,000

Very good condition. I'd say at the top end of very good to the excellent range according to NRA standards, but no box or paperwork. Thanks for replies!

It is the classic series. What glass does it have on it?

In my experience, you will want to separate & sell the glass apart from the gun for both a quicker sale & getting top dollar.

If I were to sell it at as a consignment would start the bidding at $750 on gunbroker and hope for $850-$900.

Scope is LEU Mk4, but 16x I believe. Not sure about the knobs as I'm unfamiliar with that line of scopes. Pretty sure it's above what I'm allowed to buy!
