I will also mention in case we can get it back on point my glass experience. Outside of vx3 hunting scopes my only glass on long range are opposite ends of the spectrum. I started out behind a friends Mark IV, as I stated I purchased a Mark IV, and some time behind a friends Schmidt and Bender. So I know entry and top end, but not the middle ground.
It happens man, it's not like you intentionally derailed it. It's just hard to ever get it back on track. Most just glance over and respond, and usually not read enough to really know what's going on in the thread.

I would choose the SHV because turrets on the Zeiss are not known to be precise. The SHV have removable caps that must be tightened on to prevent water damage but the turrets track okay. I wouldnt consider it a big jump above the mk4 but it is a great scope.

A Zeiss isn't even in question here for me. This SHV F1 only has a capped windage turret, the elevation is an open target turret. I wouldn't consider anyThing with a capped elevation turret.
