Just got back from the range where for the first time ever I got to shoot with my mom. She had never even handled a gun until a month ago. She took a safety class and after getting some help from my dad, they got her a Sig 238 .380.
We went to the Arms Room in League City, and I helped her learn how to handle her Sig. At first she aimed just how you'd expect a little old lady would, but I got her stance fixed, and she did really well. I also let her try my Glock 19 and even a few rounds from my Glock 21, and she did great with that big ol 45 considering she hadn't ever shot a gun. We finished the day with my suppressed Buckmark, which put a big smile on her face. Way cool, just as much fun but more exciting than teaching my kids to shoot.
