New caliber for Ruger AP and PR
Lapua is making 6.5 Creedmoor brass with the small primer right now. Should be available soon if not already. Could neck it down

That would not be smart on Remington's part unless they just want to drive the final nail in their own cartridge's coffin (260 Remington).

Most of the guys who shoot .260's are handloaders and a lot of them shoot custom rifles, so again Remington gains nothing from it. Everyone shooting a Remington 700 (one of the most popular rifles), chambered for 6.5 Creedmoor (one of the most popular rounds), has to build it themselves.
I won't be sad if Ruger drives them out of business after the crap they've been churning out lately and the way they've been running things.

You have no clue what you are talking about. Remington still loads Ammo for the 260. Core Lokt, Premier Accutip and a managed recoil load.
I hear people spouting off about Remington going down hill, blah, blah, blah...that hasn't been my experience at all. I'd say shooters such more than the rifles do. I'll put my 700 5R rifles up against any other factory rifle in the same class. All I've done is replace the triggers with Jewell triggers and they are all sub 1/2 MOA.
That's an ignorant statement about wanting them to go under. There's a reason 99% of the custom builds are based on Remington actions.
