    Glock 19 upgrades

Picked one up yesterday evening. Good night, that glock trigger is horrible..

I'm already planning upgrades. Trigger, guide rod/spring, night sights, and a mag well are at the top of the list. Will probably end up with some other upgrades just for aesthetics. (Stainless pins, new rear slide plate, etc.)

This is my 1st glock, so for those long time fans.. Are my upgrades out of order? What other upgrades have you done or recommend?

What GEN Model? Most of my Glocks are GEN 4's and I like the grip. I have one GEN3 and hated the grip. I sanded down the grip and stippled it. Its much better now to me. I also under cut the trigger guard on all my Glocks that I carry. I don't mind the trigger so I have never done a trigger upgrade. I do plan on getting the slide cuts on my G17 and G19 next.

Love all my Glocks. Triggers are good to me.

I have upgraded to Extended Slide Releases and Stops and rear plate with etching.

          Enjoy

I would buy a better connector (rocket, V4), and a lightened spring kit. Get better sights, suited for your intended use. That's about all I'd worry with.

Shoot the snot out of first to ensure you like it enough to upgrade.....then shoot it some more

Man, the trigger has a consistent break and quick reset. If this is your first one and you aren't familiar with it look into the reset and learn how to work the trigger after you feel the click. They get a lot of hate but I think they're better than most non-single action triggers by far. As for upgrades, I have Talon grips and titanium guide rods in all of mine and sometimes I switch the sights but I have gotten used to factory sights as well.

That's the plan this weekend. If I like it, I'll sell my other carry gun. If I don't, I'll sell the glock. Lol

I've always done the .25 trigger job, 3.5# connector, extended slide and mag release and sight upgrades. From there threaded barrel, suppressor and put a trijicon RMR or suppressor sights on top if you choose. Stipple job if you like, undercut the trigger as mentioned above. They are an easy fun gun to upgrade.....just don't booger it up!

There are alot of trigger options out there PM me if you want some links

                      Why mess with perfection? Lol

Seriously, be very careful trying to lighten the trigger. Remember that there is no exterior safety on a Glock. Train with the stock trigger and you will be surprised how well designed it is.

There was a YouTube video I watched last called the $21 trigger job or something like that. Guy changed the connector, trigger spring, and firing pin safety spring I believe. Brought it down to 4-4.5ish lbs. I think I'm gonna try that route if I like the way it shoots after this weekend

3.5# connector, extended mag and slide release, Heinie straight 8 sights, threaded barrel are all that I have done with mine. Mine is a Gen 3 so I cut pieces of grip tape to fit on the grip and it has worked well for me.
