Any issue with Remington MOD. 7

Does anyone have a Remington model 7. Looking into buying the 243 mossy oak. Please inform me not a lot of reviews online.

To be honest not sure what a model 7 is but have 2 model 700 Remington rifles. Best and accurate action out there I think. Tested and proven!

It's the little brother to the 700 if you need a comparison...I have 2 of the mossy oaks in 17 Fireball & a custom Model 7 in 20 Tactical I got from Cajun Blake.

If you like the 243, get it.

I bought my wife one in .260 years ago, she gave it to my son at the time he was about ten. He killed several deer with it. I put a Rifle Basix trigger in it as it was within the recall range. Really nice gun for small or lightly built folks. Hell, I could get by with it from now on if I wanted and I'm 6'2" and 300 lb. I highly recommend it.

I built a 7mm-08 for my oldest daughter on a Model 7 action.

It came with the J lock on it and I replaced the entite bolt shroud and firing pin assembly with the parts from Pacific Tool & Gauge.

I just recently picked up a Model 7 in .260. It is a tack driver with cheap factory ammo.

My wife has a Model 7 (pre J-lock) and I love it. It is hers so I haven't messed with it other than working the trigger but it shoots good and handles great.

I have a model 7 in 7mm-08. Tack driver. My sister has one as well in 7mm-08, Tack driver as well. My best friend has one, his dad has 2, my dad has one and my brother has one... all in 7mm-08 and all shoot great. Piece of advice, the synthetic model 7 kicks the worst out of all of them but still is a tack driver. If you are interested in .243 why not get it in 7mm-08 since it basically has about the same recoil but way better ballistic? Just a thought. Buy one and you'll love it:

                      Exactly what I did.

I had a factory model 7 in 260. It was a killer, then had action trued/blueprinted, benchmark barrel and B&C full bedding block stock added. Now it's a sexy killer that's very accurate and killed my best trophy to date....a tom mountain lion. Only issue I have is limited with longer bullets when reloading due to the shortness of the actin. ELD or VLD bullets are hard to use unless shooting single shot. I say go for it as I have had no complaints.

I've had one in .243 since I was a little kid. Super handy little rifle that's been used to kill a lot of deer
