Thoughts on UTG Accushot SWAT Compact Rifle Scope, 3-12x44

I want a scope for my AR. I mainly will be using it for plinking around and shooting hogs/deer at 100 yards and less. I really don't want to spend more than $100 if possible. Any thoughts/reviews on this scope.

Does it have to be illuminated? The Vortex crossfire looks like a Swaro next to anything Utg I've looked through. The 3-9x40 with the v brite reticle isn't terrible for $189. I'd expand your budget, drop the illumination, or try and find something like a fixed 3x prism sight.

Honestly, I wouldn't buy anything UTG. If you want a more budget friendly scope, the Primary Arms are a really good bang for your buck.

At $99 it's right at your budget. Are these really used by SWAT teams?

You might find something for cheap in the classifieds here if you are patient.

When I was broke some years ago I bought a leapers scope that believe it or not was pretty decent. I'm sure I just got lucky. YMMV

I've learned 1 valuable lesson with guns/optics, buy nice or cry twice, save up for a quality optic you'll thank yourself later, I use Vortex optics and haven't had 1 complaint about them and they are quality on a budget for optics!!!!!

It could be the greatest scope on the planet for $1 and I wouldn't buy it from More expensive than Platinum. Price gouging SOB's.
