    Decent Hog with 45-70

    [IMG][/IMG]

Killed this Friday night. 40 yard off-hand shot with a hand loaded 300 grain bullet. Dropped in its tracks. What a rush!

Great job! Love all the lever guns especially the 45-70.

I do believe that's a Marlin. I love the "whop" that round makes on contact.

Decent pig. isn't that an oxymoron.

Nice looking lever gun. Guide gun?

I wondered if someone would ask...

The pig was facing me, head down, eating. I shot it right in the back of the head/neck...boom DRT. Pig fell and didn't move again. After 15 or so minutes I got out of the blind, walked over to it and tapped it with my boot.

And that's when the hog started snapping it's teeth. It was weird. He never lifted his head off the ground, nor tried to get up, but those teeth were snapping nonetheless.

The 'wound' in question is where I finished it with a knife...
