I have no experience with the Leupold but the Sig Kilo 2000 is great!

I have the sig and like it a lot. Cajun Blake had a good deal on here for a Leica 1200 if it hasn't sold yet. Definitely worth looking into also.

Both are really good products, especially for bow or 300 yd rifle use. Everything I heard about the Sig from long range hunting guys is that it completely destroys anything else in the sub $2,000 price range though. I was still planning to pick up the Leupold 1000 or 1200 until somebody on here posted this closeout deal from Cabelas to get the Sig for $350, it was delivered to my shop on Friday.

I'm not into shooting animals at 900-1,000 yards so I didn't figure I really needed the capabilities of the Sig, but the nice thing about having that kind of range is knowing whether or not you can get close enough to them.

Say you're sitting on a ridge and range a herd of elk at 1,100 yards from where you're sitting. There is another ridge between you and them that is 850 yards from your current spot. If you can slip over there undetected you'd know that you'd have a 250 yard shot at them.

My Kilo came in yesterday, ranged a tree trunk @ 975. My Leupold 1000 would have never done that.

I just left a Leupold 1000i for the Kilo2000. Night and day difference. Kilo2000 is 3x better. Better ranging abilities and more magnification and better glass.

No comparison. I sold my Leupold to buy the Sig.

Love Leupold's stuff but it won't touch the Sig Kilo by a long shot.

I'm running a Leica 1600B, and my buddies Sig leaves it in the dust - for a lot less $$$. I'm waiting on the new Sig to hit the market before I make the switch. Sounds like it's gonna be the one to beat.

Does Sig manufacture those rangefinders or is it another brand with their name on it?

I have a Cabelas branded Bushnell that I am thinking about replacing

I bought one of the leupolds a few years ago. HORRIBLE. Then I bought a Swarovski. Sold it to get the Sig. Sig blows away the other two. It's an amazing rangefinder for the money.
