    Winchester model 70 trigger job

I have a model 70 super grade 22-250 that I'm wanting a trigger job done on. The trigger is smooth and crisp but too heavy for my liking. Anyone know a good gunsmith around Lampasas area that can do this? The gun was built in 2012 but I've read that it is built the same as a pre 64 if that makes a difference on what I can do on the trigger. Thanks

Can do it yourself real easy. YouTube the trigger job for it. I believe the 2012 is adjustable to 2.5 lbs.

Not hard to do. Use a spring weight gage. Will take longer to remove the stock than to adjust the trigger. Should be able to adjust to 2.5 lbs. as stated above.

Thanks for the info. It was my understanding that the model 70 was best left to a smith for trigger work. Thanks for clearing that up.
