Bringing 3 with us for hunting and fun this weekend. My '74 35 Rem, an '82 357, and a sweet '02 Spikehorn 30-30. I've got a crapload of 38's for my son to shoot in the 357. Gonna be fun fun, and hopefully he draws blood with it or the Spikehorn.
I like it. At my Oklahoma rifle lease we always pick one day and everyone heads out with open sight lever guns and we all put in $100 bucks and whoever shoots the biggest doe wins.
30/30. Gonna try and kill something open sights with it. It will the the first time killing with open sights on a rifle. I have killed deer with buckshot open sights but never with a rifle. From there I will go pistol.

For the lever gun owners have ya'll heard that Henry has out with a Long action lever gun called the Long Ranger. Basically, to me it looks like a Browning BLR , but American made and right now only in .223,.243,.308
