    Federal fusion?

After losing a hog last year with my Winchester power points I switched to federal fusion ammunition. I am wanting to see how many of you use it and what kind of damage it does. I'm loving the accuracy out of them but haven't got to test them on any critters yet. Thanks y'all.

I have used them in .270, 30-06, and my daughter in a .243 and they penetrate well and do a lot of damage.

I shoot Federal Fusions in my 308. Very accurate and so far nothing has walked away. Both pigs and deer have pretty much dropped close to where they were shot. I have noticed that there are not as many pass through shots. On several the slugs are just under the off side skin.

Been using them for several years on deer and hogs
            In our .243's and .270's.
            Very Accurate, inexpensive and deadly.
I get pass thrus on almost every shot.

Thanks for the info, my gun likes the cheaper bullets better for some reason. Couldn't get a group with Hornady sst's but stacks em with the fusion. Hard to find a quality bullet at the lower price points, hopefully I've found my answer here.

Been running them in my 270 for 2 seasons now. Even on a close up shot at 50ish yards it didn't blow through without leaving a blood trail. Not that I had to track her, shot right behind the shoulder clipped the opposing and blew up the heart. Had similar results on a high little back from the shoulder shot wound cavity was great. Not like what I've seen out of my wife's 25-06 with Horadys whitetail Ammo. 80yd shot it passed through both shoulders and barely left a blood trail. Almost couldn't discern the entrance and exit until we skinned it.

I don't use them personally but my wife does in her model 70 .30-06
They are very accurate and has only had one animal ( big ole FAT axis buck) take more than 3-5 steps. Most have been DRT
Even that 300 pound axis only went about 75 yards

I shoot them behind the shoulder. I can't explain why they don't blow through. But the certainly put the energy into the game I have shot. And no tracking needed so far.

Thanks everyone, this definitely has given me a confidence boost in my bullets!

Hoping to get a big buck down before Christmas! After that when season is over I have plenty of javelinas coming in daily that I could test em on!

Same here (sans the .243)...I really like them. The 130's are my go-to in 270 and the 150's in 30-06 have dropped everything I have shot in their tracks. I am setting my Colt M-4 up more for hunting and just picked up a box of 62 grain .223 that I cannot wait to try...my buddy shoots them in his AR and his kids are 6 for 6 on whitetails with no trails longer than 20-30 yards...most actually dropped where they stood (all shot behind shoulder). They seem to be a well made factory round for not a lot of cash, win win IMO!
