    DPMS barrel break in procedure

What are your thoughts on the DPMS barrel break in procedure ? It sounds time consuming, but I do want the best possible accuracy from a factory lr 308 barrel.

    What's the procedure?

Clean chamber, and bore after every round for the first 25 rounds. The next step is clean bore after every 10 rounds for the next 100 fired.

I'd shoot five, clean it, shoot 20 more, clean it, and call it good.

Shoot it until accuracy drops of, clean and shoot it some more.

Ugh... here we go. Clean bore get factory junk out. Start shooting it and clean it when it starts losing it's zero. Break in is a myth.

I cleaned it out. Shot 10 rounds. Cleaned it. Had my buddies blast off a box. Cleaned it and then sighted it in with the remaining 10 rounds from my box. 2 shots at hogs, 2 hogs dead. Still have 3 round left.

I had a bench rest pro build my rifle. He told me to get out and shoot my new rifle, don't worry about it.

I cleaned it out of the box/lubed BCG, shot it 20 times, cleaned it/lubed BCG, shot it another 50 times, cleaned/lubed BCG again. Won't clean it again for another 200-300 rounds, lube BCG as needed.
