I'm thinking about getting a new range finder for ranging deer out to 600-800yds and targets out to 1200. I can get a Sig Sauer Kilo 2000 for $329, tonight. Wondering if anyone has used them and if they like them?
I'm using an older Leupold RX1000i TBR and it fails on ranging deer out around 400-500yds ALL THE TIME! SO annoying. Plus, the reticle is huge and way too bright and it, along with the 6x magnification, makes ranging difficult. I have it mainly for bowhunting but I need something with significantly more range for my scouting and for my own personal hunting/shooting. I can't afford a G7 BR2 and the Leica's are $200 more than these Kilo 2000's. Sure could use some good words towards the Kilo, if they're warranted.
Are they good or over-hyped?
