    Terrible Customer service.

I just wanted to get yall a heads up. I bought a hand guard from Ar15part.com. When installing this item it wouldn't tighten down so it wouldn't move. When I went to tighten down the first screw some more it snapped off. Then I went to remove the other two screws and they both snapped. There does not seem to be a way to get these screws out without buggering up the handguard.

After contacting the company all I got were sarcastic remarks and accusations that I didn't install it correctly. This company is not standing by there product. The product was on sale and does say that there may be some minor blems but this is not minor. They acted as if I was trying to rake them over the coals or something. I was even willing to drive to thier facility to fix the problem.

    Really disappointed.

Sounds like the screws were too long and they bottomed out. Post a pic to get some ideas on fixing it. I've had luck before using a dremel to cut a groove in the top of the broken off bolt and using an impact driver to back it out.

I'll post some pick this evening. I bought the smallest Extractor I could find last night and the bolt was so stuck the extractor snapped off too. this Bad situation has turned into a worse one.

That's all extractors are good for, a 90% chance of a bigger cluster.
In for pics, we see a lot of broken bolts in my line of work. Sucks about the customer service.

Never had much luck with extractors myself. In fact I don't ever recall having success with one. Let us know how things progress.

If they're close just drive over there.

How much $ was the hand guard?

Was it a major brand or a no name part?

                      $79 with tax and shipping

He says on his website that he had the manufacturered for his company. Yeah I should know better.

On a positive note I was able to drill out the screws and the back out that broke off. I drilled and taped for the next size up and put in grade 8 bolts.

Still can't believe what a butt that guy was.
