One of mine was out banging steel from 585 to 1147 this weekend on my 6.5 Creedmoor. That one has about 1200 rounds of LR shooting on it. Both of mine have been extremely reliable.

All mine will be always be FFP and Mil/Mil. I don't like SFP scopes because the reticle is only true at full magnification. All my friends I shoot LR with all use Mils, so it is much easier to me to be working in Mils vs MOA. All my life I have shot scopes with MOA until the last few years, but to me Mils is much simpler and easier for LR style shooting.

I understand your logic and if spending the extra money is not an issue but, here is something to think about. If what you are shooting is that far to range, your more than likely going to be a full mag anyways. I like mils as well.

No FFP is accurate at all magnification levels. SFP is only accurate at a certain magnification, typically max magnification.

J Colwell, I absolutely get what you are saying there. 98% of the time that will be true, and it won't make any difference at all. Shooting LR I normally dial distance and hold wind. However, I use one of mine on my coyote calling rifle, and sometimes it gets turned down for thicker country. Then if I have a fast shot out further and don't have time to turn it up (or forget in the heat of the moment, my memory is bad) that is when things can go south. On it I don't dial for shots under 400, I just hold with the reticle. I just prefer to have the FFP and not worry about it. Personally I would rather have a 10x fixed than a 3-15 SFP, but that is just me.

I totally agree with everything your saying. I just wanted to make the statement since we were talking about a budget scope. I hope we good and wouldn't mind shooting or going calling with you sometime.
