    Muzzleloader Purchase

Where's the best place to buy a muzzleloader? I have searched online and there are deals here and there. I am looking for a good starter rifle.

I did a Black Friday sale at cabelas last year to get one. Worked out pretty good.

I've owned a few. The one I regret selling was my CVA Optima. It was relatively inexpensive, especially compared to the Thompson Centers that followed it. But no matter what I ran through the others, nothing touched the accuracy of that CVA Optima.

For a little less money, I've also heard good things about the CVA Wolf.

          All the best,
          Glenn

I was just going through a Cabelas Holiday catalog and saw where the CVA Optima will be on sale. I'll have to go look at price again, but I'm think it was $250-$300 or so. Great deal. I buy all my muzzleloader goodies from Muzzle-loaders.com. Great customer service, some of the best prices, and fast shipping.

Yes, I just saw the Cabelas adds as well. I was leaning toward CVA.

                Thanks to all!

I bought the CVA Wolf from Cabelas in Waco last year, complete with scope.
I believe it was $299.99. I love mine and it shoots well.

You cant go wrong with the CVA.....Good luck to ya!!

I've never owned a CVA, but my friend's CVA shoots as good as my more expensive T/C.

I got a CVA Wolf last year at Cabela's Sale and I won't looked back. The only change I made was a Range-finding Muzzleloader scope.
