    Rem 700 30-06 trigger

Wanting to change out the stock trigger. Any good recommendations? I've changed out triggers in my ar, is it about the same? I don't know how it would change, but I won't have to resight it in would I?

Yup shouldn't be any change in poi, and super easy to do! I've got a Timney in mine and have zero complaints.

About only thing that might change poi would be stock tension but if free floated or not going crazy with the wrench should be fine and while you have the stock off would be a great time to float if it is not already

What is all involved in floating a barrel?

If you rifle is an older pre x-mark pro you can send it to Neil Jones and for $75 including return shipping he'll tune your trigger to excellent quality.

Like others have said you can't go wrong with a Timney or Jewell. They're a no modification required drop in and no 6 week turn time.

As for floating the barrel and bedding the action it's a pretty easy and straight forward diy project. If you wish to have a Smith do it, the cost should be around $125 give or take.

I'm not familiar with remington, but my weatherby/howa timneys are adjustable to 1.5#

It's a pretty old gun. My papa gave it to me probly 16 yrs ago. So it's at least 25 to 30 maybe.

I put a Timney in mine. Its not as good as a Jewell, put is great for a hunting rifle.

If you'd like to keep it all original send it to Jones. He's tuned 3 for me as requested at 2 pounds on the money breaking sharp and clean.

If you'd like to know the exact age, send the sn to Cajun Blake and he'll get you the year of manufacture.
