    45 ACP Reloading?

I recently picked up some once-fired 45 brass at a local range. I took it home and cleaned it up. Some of the brass has small pistol primers! I have never seen this before. Is this reloadable brass or one time brass?

Reloadable. 45 acp uses both small and large primers depending on the manufacturer. I tried to stay with just one when I reloaded. Makes life easier.

I bought 1000 rds of bulk 45 awhile back. It was small primer. So far I've collected brass and kept it separate for the lp brass. I assume it will reload fine by using small primer but haven't done so yet.

Unless it is mil. brass with crimped primers it should load fine.

Thanks for the help! I had only seen 45 with large primers.

One of those small primer brass will flat screw up a run on a progressive press..... been there, done that.

Last time we loaded I had to learn this the hard way. Ruined about 5 before we figured it out. What a pain to have to remember when you have a mixed bag of brass

Last reloading data I looked at seemed like small primers worked better. Haven't tried any yet my brass supply to all large primer.

Its reloadable. You can use the same powder charge as a large primer.

from my experience its usually the non toxic winchester stuff that had the small primer. I just toss it in the recycling/bad brass bucket.
