    Multiple suppressors

I'm not planning on joining the supressor club any time soon, but I've been wondering about something. If you're getting more than one suppressor, do you have to go through the entire rigamarole - fees, paperwork, everything - for EACH one? Seems like after the first one, it'd be cheaper and faster, since you've already filed everything, been background-checked, etc.

Same with replacement suppressors. If the one you have is damaged or wears out and you have to replace it - back to Square One?

Yep same $200 tax and wait for EACH one.

The tube is the serialized part. Baffles can be replaced. As long as the tube isn't damaged it can be repaired.

So once they have the photo and fingerprints do you have to do them every time?

So if the tube is damaged, you have to start all over? Man, that sucks.

Each has to be submitted with each paperwork.

Silencer shop keeps it electronically to submit. They have to be redone if it has been too long though

I wonder if you could get an electronic copy of your prints?

Silencershop.com is an outstanding resource and they explain the process really well.

Yes it's a few more steps than before, but they've done a great job to make the process as streamlined as possible.

The worst part of it all is forms that were submitted in June before the new rule went live are expected to be at least 12 months to approval. Ouch.
Gonna be a while before I see that Hybrid.

I hate the entire process. I love the end result.

When did they update it to twelve months? Last I heard was 8.

                      10-12 months

                      I'm betting closer to 13

ATF version of "8 months" is probably closer to 12 in real world time.

It is 8 months for those that applied within the last 8 months. For those that applied just before 41F took effect you can count on at least 12 months. Silencer Shop itself submitted 10,000 in one day.

                          Mine should be out anyday.

Make sure to put your stuff onto NFA tracker....it gives great current trends.

Mine went in before the July 13th date. One in mid June.

Just want a Form 1 to come through. Is that too much to ask?
