    Gun Mounted Flashlight

I know there's a few East Texas guys on here[emoji16], so what's the best flashlight out there to put on my AR for spotlighting coyotes and hogs. I would like to be able to see out to 200 yards at least. I'm trying to stay under $150.

    Thanks, Kanyon

I had a Kill Light on mine. Its a bit heavy but extremely bright. I liked the green lens best.

X2 i have a red and white led for mine. Put it in a 1" scope ring and mount it to a piece of rail.

Sniper Hog Lights makes a good one and they are a sponsor here. I have a couple of his lights and have been pleased. They have different sizes and colors and most everything is interchangeable between lights if you decide to change it up in the future.

I have one of the lights from elusive wildlife. Came with a clamp to hold the light to the gun as well as a switch that I mounted to the forearm to turn the light on and off. Works great.

I have no problem believing that this is the most common method chosen by East Texas shooters!

I like the Sniper Hog Lights as well. I have one that I can see well past 200yds with it. I can't interchange mine because it is when they first came out.

I considered this until I thought about physics:

When taking a shot no matter what the light weighs, it still acts like a pendulum on your tube. I paid good money for my glass and having a weight also changes the mass or G's your scope is rated for. If you can find a way to attach a picantnney rail to your forearm, it works great. on one of my rifles I attached a short rail and had to build a platform under the far end as my stock tapers like so many do. When done correctly the rail and flashlight point straight ahead. Unscrew the clamp on the light and there's not much in the way for day hunting. Barrel mounted lights change the harmonics of the shot and you could miss completely.
