Need help picking a budget scope for AR-10

Bought a dpms ar10 a while back and I've got an aimpoint red dot on it now. I'm looking at buying a scope for it so I can use it for deer. What do y'all suggest? I would like to stay around $400ish. Does anyone have any good suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Sure am happy with Vortex. Unbeatable warranty. Great quality for the price. The diamondback HP series would be great for your application.

Which Nikon? Is the m-308 that much better than the p-308?

I've got the Vortex Diamondback on mine and really like it.

Primary arms has a great 308 scope. Check them out.

I have the P308 and love it with the BDC. No experience with the M model. These are designed for the AR 10 platform. Regarding clarity...my 64 year old eyes love the eye relief and focus adjustments. Turrent acquisition is a snap as well.

I have had Monarchs before but honestly, the ProStaff models we now have...just can't tell any difference to justify the extra cost. So it boils down to the magnification you want in the two models. I really prefer the 1" vs 30mm, but either way it's not a problem unless you buy the wrong rings, get home and they don't work...."done it a few times" by just being in a rush and not paying attention.

Primary Arms fan here too. I really like the ACSS-R Grid 4-14x44

I really like Redfield scopes. I've heard good things about Vortex but haven't ever looked through one.

Redfield is Leupold (and carries their warranty) but just a much more economical pricepoint. I use them for any "inexpensive" glass I need on weapons. Usually under $250 for anything on their lineup. Most are 3-9x at this point.
