They might be. Subs are more difficult to find, at least for me. And more expensive. Honestly I think it's not a supply/demand issue, but rather the ammo manufacturer knows the subsonic user probably paid $200 for a tax stamp and $800 for a suppressor, i.e. he's not pinching pennies.
