    Speer 357 JSP

Years ago I had a great hunting load for my Dan Wesson 357 pistol that used the Speer 158g JHP bullet. Performance on deer was great.

Now my son has interest I hunting with this gun so I ordered 100 Speer JSP's. They arrived today in a box clearly marked as "plinking". Has the design of this bullet changed or are they just trying to promote their new Deep Curl bullets?

I would think it would be fine. Maybe Speer it trying to push their premium bullet for hating but a regular ol jacketed soft point should do great. Even if it acts like a hard cast it should still kill reliably. 158gr correct?
