Best Varmint Round?

Getting into coyote hunting this year and was wondering what everyone's opinion on best caliber is. Multi purpose is a plus. Thanks in advance for the input guys.

I really like my .204 ruger. But if it's a little windy I step it up to my 223. I'll even throw a 257 WBY If I have it

I have used anything from 223 to 25-06 pretty extensively, but my favorite is either a Swift or 243. Currently my go to calling rifle is a 243 shooting 87 grain VMAX. Be advised, that is not a fur friendly load. But I just want them dead, I don't care about fur.

I have a .257 wby mag that shoots lights out, but options gives me another excuse to buy another rifle lol.

This is a get out the popcorn kind of question as everyone will have a different opinion.
I think a lot of it depends on what you are using it for, what kind of terrain you are hunting, the type of varmint you are hunting and, if fur bearing, do you care about keeping/selling the hides.

That being said, I use a number of calibers depending on the answers to the above questions and for me, that changes quite frequently up here in Wyoming.

7mm Ultra Mag for when all I want to do is kill them and turn the coyotes inside out, it is a windy day (quite often up here during the winter months, and the distances are long.

220 Swift has been my go to varmint gun for years for most all conditions and I don't see that changing any time soon.

17 Remington for shorter range calling on calmer days and when I am in country that has a lot of red Fox.

222 Remington for pretty much the same reasons as the 17 but it is a little better on coyotes than the 17 at 300 yards and closer.

22 mag for short range calling in tight quarters. I have an H&k model 300 that hits like a tank using the Winchester 40 gr HP. 250 yards and closer it is extremely deadly.

223 - I have a Bushmaster Varmint Special that I thought I would use more when I bought it but because of all my other varmint calibers, it is pretty much a safe queen.

So, even for just me, the best caliber changes based on a lot of factors. If I had to pick just one though, give me my 220 Swift any day of the week.

I've been looking at the 6.5 Grendel for this application in an AR platform. Nobody has mentioned this caliber. I thought it was the cats pajamas on yotes?

Another vote for .243 Win. I like this chose because I can load it with light and fast for Predator hunting and can load it heavy for deer hunting. Great all-around caliber.

I like my ruger m77 22 hornet with 45 gr win softpoints only thing I have lost with this combo has been one big javilina,
But we have shot them with 308 wins and had them not die
But dropped alot of yotes, turkeys, coons, squirrels, pigs, couple deer buck and does. Seems to hit yotes like a train they drop on there side and spin but bleed like crazy
