    Didnt know that could happen. Maybe linseed oil or some type of wax

      Find someone with a ionizer and put it and the gun / stock in a small area like a closet and let it run for a day or two.

        Just gonna tale time. Try washing it with a good wood cleaning agent to see if you can cut the residue left from the smoke. Odds are its soaked into the wood and will either need to be sanded out for a quick fix, or just aired out over time.

                Well my dad work at a car dealership and they have ozoner so I'm gonna try that. If it doesn't work I will just let it air out over time I guess

                  Yeah I'd try sticking it in a closet with an ozone generator. Like;

                    Why not just pull the wood, sand, new stain and varnish?? That could be done over a weekend.

                      It's only a $100 gun. I don't have the tools to do that and it would probably cast more than $100 to get that done. But i gave it a good scrub with a lemon wipe and it's already smelling better.

                        It's easier than you think. Sandpaper and some good stain with polyurethane in it. Less than $20.

                          It's ruined. Give it to me before it contaminates your other firearms.

                            Orange oil. Murphys oil soap with orange oil works wonders on wood finishes.
                            All the best,

                              I agree with the idea of letting it air in the sun, and then remove the metal and oil the entire stock well.
