    Lightweight Bullet in 300 BO

I purchased some some Hornady 30 Luger 86gr softpoints (.308) at Academy for cheap. I think these might do the trick for small vermin such as troublesome coons. They can run be run pretty fast or with some Trailboss maybe slow enough to be subsonic.
Has anyone tried them in a 300BO?

I've ran them subsonic with Trailboss and they are very quiet. They work good on squirrels and paper, but not so great on coons. 90gr XTP over Trailboss is awesome on the coons....

I would never run a light bullet with nominal powder. Good method to get bullet lodged in barrel. Depending on your twist I wouldn't favor running it too fast either.

I have both AR's and a bolt in the Blackout. This light bullet would only be used in my bolt gun. I shoots subs 99% of the time. I don't do mag dumps and always listen for the bullet impact. Planning on running them at 1000fps with Trailboss.
