    Vertical Grip on AR

How many are running a vertical forearm grip on their AR set up? If so, what do you like about it? If not, why not?

I have about a dozen AR's. All wear a vertical front grip. Why? Dang arthritis. The vertical grip is so much more comfortable than the round or whatever else shape forend on the standard rifle. I can hold the vertical grip for quite a while. Hand stretched out under a rounded forend, about 2 minutes and I'm done.

Mine has a bipod in it. Love it.

I ran a vertical foregrip for a years before I started shooting competitively. I like my hand way out on the handguard. The grip was just more comfortable, but this was always plinking off hand. I started shooting 3 gun and doing run and gun events where you need to brace on anything you can for longer shots. The foregrip was always in the way. I have since ditched the grip and have become much more comfortable without it.

All the rifles I have to shoot fast with have a BCM tool-less vertical grip on them.
It just allows a more natural wrist motion that is actually a lot like a support hand pistol grip. I also like it for competitions because I can "load" on it while resting the rail on something.

I use an angle grip, easier to c-clamp and drive with than the vertical grip.

100% depends on the use of the weapon - I personally use a c-clamp grip to drive towards the target on fast acquisition shots. Harris bi-pod when I'm looking to fill the cooler.

I like VFGs on shorter handguards... I run the BCM short grip on my MK18 clone. No VFG on my 16" rifle w 13" handguard though.
